Fighting Fit Fencing's Coaches

Leo Suarez

Leo is a British Fencing Association qualified coach and has a wealth of experience both in coaching and fencing. He was the Cuban national team from 1992 to 1997 and was the under 20 Cuban champion and won Gold in the central American Games in 1993. Leo is regarded as a great asset to British coaching (by the BFA) as he has great style and technique, almost unlimited energy and endless enthusiasm!

Master Priscille Lapoutge

Priscille is a fully qualified master of arms.  She trained and qualified in the Paris schoool of fencing.  For the last 20 years Priscille has opened and run clubs all over France.  We are very fortunate to have Priscille as a full time employee of the club and co-ordinates all our school fencing programmes.  Priscille has fenced competitively in Epee and offers fencing tactics for the competitive fencer.

 Jonathon Tait

Our head junior coach is Jonathon Tait.  He is an extremly enthuisastic member of our full time team.  Jonathon still competes on the sabre circuit.  Jonathon coaches in both our clubs and school sessions.  Jonathon has a special rapor with children and motivates our children at all levels in the sport.
